It felt like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders yet, he missed the feeling. The heavy comfort they weight offered him. Somehow, it reminded him that he was real and that all of this was real. Now, without the weight, how would he know if this was all just a dream or not? Without the weight, he felt like he was floating in air. He wasn't grounded anymore. How could he cope without it?
He could find something else that would ground him. There had to be something. As he thought, running down a short mental list, he was jarred from his thoughts at the sound of his name.

Her knees pulled up to her chest, her eyes narrowed and her brows furrowed behind the ruby red glasses that were perched carefully on the end of her nose, anyone could tell that she was in her own world, focusing on the heavy tome in front of her. Normally, no one would bother to disturb her when she was concentrating on research but, a certain dragon slayer was not like most people. Levy did not even sense his intimidating presence come up behind her until he clapped his large, heavy hand on her bare shoulder, entici

"SURPRISE LUCY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
As Lucy squeals in surprise, Levy walks over to Lucy with Mira grinning from ear to ear.
"Well, surprised Lu-chan?"
"You guys knew?!"
Lucy muttered in amazement at her guild mates' accomplishment. Mira just chuckled, touching the back of her hand to her mouth.
"Of course we knew Lucy. You are a member of Fairy Tail."
Lucy can't help but curl her lips into a smile and hug the two mages while uttering a thank

I had just gotten back home from the guild after looking for Natsu. I wanted to go on another job so that I could make my rent this month but, when I opened the front door and crossed the threshold, that thought flew from my mind. My whole place was a wreck Books and papers and clothes were scattered all over the floor. The fridge was open and food had been pulled off every shelf and thrown across the tiled floor. As I walked slowly from room to room, assessing the damage, I paused outside my bedroom door.
Cmon Lucy. It couldnt be any worse.

I feel as though eyes are bearing down on me as I have my nose buried in my book. I gradually look up from the pages that are throwing words and phrases right at me to see a man staring directly at me, not even attempting to hide the fact that he's looking. Quickly, I divert my eyes back to the leather bound copy I found at the library and silently wonder to myself what he is doing.
He is still staring at me as I pack up my book and laptop into my backpack and get ready to leave not 5 minutes later. I begin walking toward the exit of the public library yet, can't shake the feeling that he is still watching me. I glance over my sh

The Demons In My Head: Chapter 3
The first thing that my senses manage to pick up when I awake is the touch of soft sheets and a fluffy pillow. The weight of a heavy comforter covers my body and the room I'm in is just the perfect temperature. It's at a comfortable warm which is difficult to achieve in the middle of winter. I turn onto my side and curl up in the warmth of this bed. My eyes shoot open as I don't remember ever getting back to my apartment. I slowly sat up in the bed looking around, trying to decipher my surroundings in the dark. Cautiously, I slide out of bed and realized I was in an oversized t-shirt and underwear. Nothing else. No bra. Just. Underwear.

Tap, tap, tap. I search with my eyes around the room in an attempt to locate the source of this irritating sound. Tap, tap, tap. I finally spot one of my classmates slouched in the chair behind his desk, tapping his only pencil on the blank surface showing no evidence of any class materials. He has his head tilted back nearly touching the surface of the table behind him, a heavy sigh passes his lips showing the evidence of his boredom. The instructor continues his monotone lecture about Sophocles in my solitary mythology humanities course. This is, luckily, the last class before our final and I cannot wait until our winter break starts. These

The white frost that clings to the dull, green grass alerts me as to how cold it really is. Thankfully, my long wool coat keeps my body at a toasty temperature. Most of the 5' 5" of my body. The dark denim jeans that I chose for the day are protecting my legs from the chill of the frost. I keep forgetting that it's the 1st of December tomorrow. I only have a couple more days of classes and then it's winter break for everyone, including myself, obviously. As I'm walking on campus in my high top converse, a freezing wind picks up, blowing my waist length, wavy, black hair into the line of sight of my electric blue eyes. People laughing, chatti
